City Lofts Market Update, October 2014 - City Lofts London

Jobs in progress

So what have we been up to this month? As a goliath project in Swiss Cottage draws to a close after 8 months, and the finishing touches are made to a loft conversion in Fulham, the City Lofts team take their tool boxes, drills and spirit levels and head on over to Finchley in North London to start another loft on a 3 bed semi for a couple craving more space.

Property market update

This catch 22 was become the property zeitgeist of the decade. A whole generation Britain’s young, aspiring and educated, all asking the same question: ‘How the heck will I ever be able buy a property?” Virginia Walls of The Guardian hones in on Manchester to explore the dilemma.

A day in the life of a Builder

Small and subtle changes being introduced to building regulations have caught builders out all over the country in what can and cannot be done when converting the loft. As always staying one step ahead, last week all of our Project Managers, Site Foremen and Architects took a day out to top up their knowledge of the latest building regulations affecting loft conversions so we continue to offer the most up to date and practical advice to London’s home owners on matters affecting their home.

Fabulous! Interior Design

This month our Designers have been taking interiors inspiration from across the Atlantic to see just how our cousins from across the pond make such exquisite use of limited living space living in the City. The bathrooms by Anton Zaystev are breath-taking; dramatic yet elegant at the same time and perfectly functional.
